Jason Thon joined AEI as the Director of Marketing in April of 2026. With over 20 years of experience in financial services and investment management, he brings a unique combination of analytical insights and creative thinking to the role. His career started as an analyst before taking that knowledge and pivoting to marketing, a path that shapes his overall approach.

Most recently, he served as Director of Marketing and Communications at CS McKee (and its predecessor, Foundry Partners), an equity and fixed-income asset management firm. During his tenure, he modernized the firm’s brand and launched an educational and thought leadership campaign that resulted in over a 300% increase in viewership and digital interactions. That experience working alongside multiple teams with both retail and institutional investors has given him a deep understanding of client needs and how strategy, data, and storytelling intersect.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Outside of work, he’s an avid ultimate frisbee player and he’d be the first to tell you that dissecting a defense on the field and navigating a market’s challenges both keep him sharp.
